Ushuaia is the capital of the Argentine province of Tierra del Fuego. It is approximately 240 kilometers southwest of Rнo Grande, and 3,220 kilometers south of Buenos Aires. It extends east and west along the north shore of the Beagle Channel and guarded on the north by the Martial mountain range

Ushuaia dates back 1870, when the Anglican South American Missionary Society decided to position the archipelago’s primary permanent European settlement there. Lately after Ushuaia’s settlement, Argentina moved to set up its individual authority at Ushuaia and did so with a severe settlement for its most villainous criminals and political undesirables since they had been troubled by the British presence.

Claimed to be the world’s southernmost capital; its population in 1999 was estimated at 57,300. Ushuaia was originally named by early British colonists after the name that the native Yбmana people had for the area.

The scenic view of the southern most forest reserve of the world provides people a glimpse of the last frontier in the south.

Often called as the End of the World, Ushuaia is bounded by water, sky and mountains. Summer is perfect for mountain biking, trekking, horseback riding, sporting, fishing and any of the most astonishing explorations along the Beagle Canal, Cape Horn and even the Argentine Antarctica.

One block from the north is where the main commercial street of the place called Avenida San Martнn is located. Avenida San Martin is the spotlight of Ushuaia’s night life and gets congested on summer nights similar to any boulevard in Buenos Aires.
Ushuaia’s topography has spawned an enormously scenic city that combines colors and inequality with the outline of the Andes Mountain Range as a milieu.
